A science festival is a useful place to arrive with questions rather than answers. Surprise’s SciTech Festival, presented in partnership with OUAZ, is scheduled for November 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Surprise Recreation Campus. The city advertises free admission for all ages.
The fall announcement describes interactive science and arts activities, demonstrations, robotics and experiments. Check the current event page closer to the date for the final program, access information and any participation requirements. An early overview is not a guarantee that every example will be available throughout the entire event.

Let each person in a group choose something to investigate. Ask a demonstrator what changes when one part of an experiment changes, or how an idea becomes a working object. It is fine to return to an explanation or say that a step is unclear. A good question can be a more useful souvenir than a photograph taken without understanding what it shows.
Build in time to pause and compare discoveries instead of trying to reach every table. At home, write down one subject you would like to explore further and look for an age-appropriate resource. The next step might be a library book or a simple supervised project, chosen around what actually caught your interest.
